Next question: we got the big 5 from Trumpy, and the Texas and New York. Does anyone know: any chance of us ever getting a 1941 Oklahoma and a 1944 Nevada?

Nah, they never did anything famous...PaulC wrote:What about the New Mexico's? Hardly see them mentioned!Guest wrote:Next question: we got the big 5 from Trumpy, and the Texas and New York. Does anyone know: any chance of us ever getting a 1941 Oklahoma and a 1944 Nevada?
(Said facetiously... but only slightly: weren't at Pearl Harbor and none still exist. (Applies to Arkansas, too.) Not that I'd object, certainly! Heck, the weapons sprues from the Big 5 ships give them a head start on the NM class already!) But to Guest's point... yes, of the Pearl Harbor set, no love yet for the Nevada-class in injection! (Lindberg diorama set doesn't count)

If there is one battleship uglier than the Nelson, it would be Nevada with the bent crooked funnel extension.Guest wrote:Next question: we got the big 5 from Trumpy, and the Texas and New York. Does anyone know: any chance of us ever getting a 1941 Oklahoma and a 1944 Nevada?

Interesting that the Kongo class DDG seems to be a full hull 1/700.
Lately I have been feeling that the Big 4 (Fujimi, Hasegawa, Tamiya, Aoshima) had come to a secret agreement to make all 1/700 a waterline series.

Freetime has the 1/200 Titanic up for pre-order.
They are also showing a Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher. Is there anything new about this kit, or are they just letting folks know they have it in stock?

My guess is from the box art that it is just a re-release of the same FLETCHER kit they have been selling.

Forgive me if this is old news. I did a search and scanned through this thread and couldn't find mention of it. I was looking for something else on the Flyhawk site and saw a posting about a Kajika Hiei special edition that has turned brass barrels for the mains and secondaries and a wood deck. It's only on the Chinese version of the front page there and I couldn't find any other details on the website but then found it on hobby search Japan:

Re: *Inj. molded plastic* Upcoming Ship Kit Releases
I had my suspicions that Trumpeter's been using Profile Morskie plans during their kit design process but the Cornwall confirms it. Comparing with my paper copy of the Morskie plans for that ship the kit parts are identical in shape.FrancisMcN wrote:Trumpeter 1/350th HMS Cornwall sprue shots etc are available at:

Sooo, any inaccuracy in the plans will translate onto the kit.

I seem to remember someone (last year) inquiring about 1/350 Walruses. There's one included in the above Cornwall kit. Maybe Trumpeter will market them in their small aircraft packs.
