French Ironclad research help
Out of the Box has gotten some commissions for some French Ironclads in 1/350 scale, A customer has requested models of the Arrogante and Embuscade Ironclad Floating Batteries, and the Taureau and Cerbre class Ironclad Rams. I have been not been able to find measurements, drawings or many references at all for any of these ship classes. I tried Wikipedia which wasn't helpful other than providing the ships displacement. After looking at the Bibliography on Wikipedia, I was thinking of purchasing the Conway's book for that period. Any help of directions would be much appreciated.

The latest number of NEPTUNIA (No. 289) has an article by Patrice Descencire (he is the editor of NEPTUNIA) on TAUREAU, BOULEDOGUE, CERBRE, BLIER, and TIGRE.
The above coloured lithographs are from
MINISTRE DE LA MARINE ET DES COLONIES [Ed.] (1873ff.): Aide mmoire de lartillerie de marine, Paris (Imprimerie Lemercier et Cie.).
I do have a set of the original plates, btw.
