IJN Shimakaze, Hasegawa 1/350th

Post by wing_nut »

Yes, I know I just posted just 2 days ago in the works in progress but I really thought I was gonna wait to do the rigging. That's what i get for thinking. ;)

And to Dan K., Thanks for telling me last year that the flags on my Z-31 were to to thick and to use foil for the decals. Worked great..

Geese, tough crowd!

I have a question for you. How did you go about finishing the decks? Especially the brass stays on the linoleum deck.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Martin... the smiley face is less smiley than before.

Dan... Mmmm... no! ;)

Dave... yer not kidding. Jeez! The linoleum decks are vinyl peel and stick AM appliques from Hasegawa.

And thanks all for the comments... yes, Martin and Dan too. ;)

Interesting! Perhaps we'll see more of this like we did with wood decks. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet!

What kind of material did you use for the rigging lines?

Infini Model Lycra rigging...40 denier. The stuff is barely visible. Looks heavier in th3 photos than it really is.

Hi Marc, good to see some of your work again. That's some great finish here. And that rigging, awesome!
