APRIL FOOL.

As you all know, the build of ID is almost finished, on sunday if the weather is right we should be able to get some on the water shots of ID sailing.

I am leaving my next build for a few months, I can tell you it will be scratch built piece by piece as usual, and it will be in 1/72 scale.

We have some good builds on the board, so I hope every one gives them lots of support, I will be around on the board moderating each day.

The builds are

1 USS INDY 1/96
2 HMS VICTORIOUS 1/96
3 CASSABLANCA CLASS 1/72
4 HMS DREADNOUGHT 1/72 AND 1/96
5 SCHARNHORST 1/100
6 USS FLETCHER CLASS 1/125
7 HYDRA F452 1/96
8 HMS MARLBOROUGH 1/96
9 CVN 65 1/96

SCRATCH/ RC has come a long way from the early days of this board, its seem the place to be, and I thank everyone for there support.

I will go along with what Ron has said about the popularity of large scale modelling. There are some GREAT MODELS out there and The Admiral who started it all has kindled an interest in large scale model building.

Let's hope more people will join the band wagon and for those who are thinking about building a large scale model, please share your efforts here on the Scratchbuilding & RC forum.

Admiral,

you have a knack of shocking me - didn't notice the date...

I can only agree that it's great to see the large-scale community to be alive and prospering; there's really a lot that can be learned by following all these wonderful projects!

Now we want to see pictures of ID in her Element!

Arrrgh, I had hopes that you had come to your senses and realized that you can't beat the Pirates and had taken up knitting in your "Golden Years."

Oh yeah, good build for a slimely limey! Hmmm, the next one is 1/72nd. That would indicate something smaller, like a destroyer or patrol craft.

Good luck on your sea trials with the ID. I'm sure all will go well. A great all around build. Congradulations on her completion.

Hey Im poking my head in again.

I saw your pictures of the Dukes Launching Ron. It looks even better in the water, very nice. I like the wake seen from the stern.

Bill, have you finished moving yet? Whats next on the slipway? Are you going to make me happy and try your had at RC?

Sink anyone yet Kenny?

When will the Malrb' see the drydocks again?

I myself am just living...........get up in the morning go to work. Come home work on the sedan. eat then sleep. Very stimulating these days.

Oklahoma sits on a shelf in the garage ontill I get more time. Right now besides the daily routine described above my soal attention is aimed at the model A.

i'll try to answer these since you dont get much time on here. the people they are directed at, please try to answer them if i'm wrong. but i'll do my best from what i recall.

Bill hasn't moved yet, and looks like it will be a while until he can do R/C cuz he is doing a jap carrier next.

No i haven't sunken anyone since we last spoke, however (drumroll please) the Kumano sailed under her own power Saturday! it seems the seamen assigned to take pictures didn't do it.... until i can find out if anyone else has pics of it i only have one pic and the Kumano is very small in it. but she did sail! Argh!

As for Geoff and the Marlborough.....they are hoping for July i believe. He is working on the Victorious which looks fantastic...we are just hoping the Marl is done by July....

Sorry to dissapoint you, the Marlborough is laid up at the moment. I am concentrating on getting the Vic up and running for July, due to the fact that she might be the only Aircraft Carrier at our Club Warship Day. Ron will have his Iron Duke there, so at least you will still have photos of one of this class.
