Flatcoating EZ Line

I am getting ready to use EZ line for the first time, but have a question for those who use this product. My normal construction sequence is to rig with fly fishing tippet material and then apply an acrylic flat coat to the model, including the rigging, to take off the sheen. I recognize that the EZ line is flat already-but any issues with hitting it with the acrylic flat overcoat in order to address the glue spots?

I've used EZ Line in the past and dull-coated the entire model afterward with no adverse effects. Note though: You already know that EZ Line is a fine ribbon; if you paint them metallic (to simulate steel cables) they will reflect light and display any twists occuring along them - and, most likely, there will be twists!

I'll usually put a few light coats of flat on the model before rigging, so the final flat coat is a light one and just covers any shiny spots from rigging, and doesn't make said rigging look too heavy.

If you like stretchy rigging line, it might be a good idea to switch to Uschi van der Rosten products:

It's just as stretchy as EZ Line, but is a round line instead of ribbon. I just tried it myself for the first time today and am satisfied with the results - if you can get past the use of an image of a Hitler Youth Fraulein on the packaging!
