All in plastic, all fairly reasonable 50 dollar price range + whatever accessories you want and in good casting quality and accuracy. I think this is a very respectable line up for anyone who likes ships that fought when they could see each other.

Would be very cool to have a USS Connecticut or USS Tennessee (the armored cruiser). Or some US Dreadnoughts as commissioned.

With the Viribus Unitus coming out, only Italy and the United States of the major naval powers of the time are totally unrepresented in the 1900-1918 era.

I for one would like to see some South American subjects eventually. Incidently, I did note that Flyhawk's new Agincourt comes with decals for the Turkish and Brazilian versions. That opens up some interesting possibilities.

Full Hull Agincourt im waiting for as Flyhawk said. But if they just BS about it to turn away pesky questioners, then scratchbuilding will be fun one time down the road. It sure looks like a cool ship and may be even some QE lower hull might fit Agincourt with adjustments.

It looks like the J class is one of the private ships, not the leader like the Kelly kit. So I am guessing that the Javelin kit should be not far behind.

So this is just a combo-pack of HMS Kelly (or Lively), a Sunderland flying boat (from their previous dock set), and one of their Type Vll UBoats. Easy enough to put together if you have the above-mentioned kits in the stash. I suspect it is just a sop to pacify the restless natives until their (Flyhawk) next major release. This is one Flyhawk release I'll pass on.

The J-class is a modified K-class. The aft deckhouse is smaller than the deckhouse on the flotilla leader Kelly. One set of torpedo tubes were exchanged for a 4 inch AA gun on the J-class none leaders. The aft searchlight platform is a bit different to.

The Vii B u boat has an extra AA platform.

But yes this seems to be a way to get some extra money out of already released kits mixed in with a new kit.

No, the destroyer in this combo pack is not the Kelly because this kit is NOT a leader. The previously announced kits were Kelly (leader) and Javelin (private ship - ie not a leader), allowing both types to be built. If you look at the after deckhouse, note that the gundeck circle around the after gun mount overhangs the sides. Compare that to the longer, wider deckhouse on the Kelly kit. Lively is a totally different kit.

The J, K and N classes were virtually identical to each other with detail differences in armament as the wartime requirements evolved. These ships were 1,760 tons standard, 356 1/2 feet long, 35 3/4 feet wide, with 40,000 SHP. The L and M classes were slightly enlarged at 1,920 tons standard, 362 1/2 feet long, 37 feet wide, with 48,000 SHP. The angular pilothouse at the front of the bridge on the J,K,N classes had a roof that sloped toward the bow. The corresponding pilothouse on the L and M classes had a more flat roof because the front ports had to be higher to see over the larger gun mounts originally designed for the ships. The L and M stack was larger to accommodate the greater SHP. That is more than just a "couple of totally different parts". Very few of the parts are interchangeable between the J/K class and the L class kits.
