Actually even inside of the JKN type there were differences. First, leaders had much larger rear deckhouse. AA fit was progessing, and platforms were very different between ships, torpedo tubes come and gone. Jervis had a quad and pentad TAs for a while, 4" AA was onboard, then removed, then back onboard... Later gitter mast came, no two identic radar suits by war end. Rear gun mount first pointed forward and could not train directly back. Then it was reversed. Ns had many detail differences compared to JK

Ls were also different! 4 of them were completed with 4x2 - 4" AA guns (all 3 of Flyhawk kits show these), while the rest had 3x2 - 4,7". Plus detail differences of course, progressing after war.

Trumpeter 20-21 catalog

The catalog has been largely shown on Facebook and and the Chinese sites. For 1/700 you can look forward (or possibly wait interminably) for the usual two Belfasts, some type 23s, Cornwall and Kent County-class cruisers, Alaska/Guam/Hawaii CBs, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau.

In 1/350, the usual suspects. C-class cruisers, Didos, Langley, Then Bismarck Tirpitz Scharnhorst Geneisenau. Do you 1/350 guys seriously need those four? There may be some new modern Chinese ships, but I'm afraid they mean little to me personally.

the last four are of questionable worth to me,, although the Gneisenau is an interesting thought. The continuing surprise for me is the C-class cruisers and Didos. What is missing, and what I would prefer, are the 'Towns (Groups 1 and 2)' (Sheffield, Liverpool, etc.) and Colonys (Kenya, Fiji, Nigeria [later R.I.N Misore], Uganda [later HMCS Quebec]). Then there are the destroyers, which deserve better execution than the 'Tribals'. Still, at least the RN is getting some attention.

I am very excited!! As much as I am for the Scharnhorsts in 1/350 and 1/200.

I�d go for the 1/200 Tirpitz. The larger scale will make it easier to do one of those wild camo schemes.

Isn't that like locking the barn door after all the horses have escaped? Flyhawk has already released their Scharnhorst (1/700), and a Scharnhorst by anybody else, especially Trumpeter, will just be a major disappointment! (Apologies to Trumpeter die-hards who really like their quality!)

Well didn't stop Aoshima joining the JKN orgy after Flyhawk, and Aoshima is way worse than Trumpeter.

The sad thing is Trumpeter can chuck in high end injection moulding parts if they wanted to - eg what they did for Pitroad in Soho/Zuihos, Akizuki and Asahis, and even their Type 23 is fantastic except the no waterline option part.
