Very impressive, and I hope to see some "formal" photos! Would be quite imposing from a waterline angle!

Congratulations on the near copmpletion of thois ship.

I agree that ' formal ! photos for the Gallery here would be excellent!
and indeed your own Gallery page anyhow !

The vast amount of complex rigging on this ship looks most excellent--

BUT- 9 years of perseverance and tenacity is perhaps the most laudable achievement in itself !!!
==================================================================

Building 11 fully rigged sailing ships of the given time-frame you stated earlier...

is a mammoth undertaking!-- that you are already as far advanced as you are - even more so.

His USS Pennsylvania model.... ... another monster undertaking can be viewed here

for those readers who may have not seen,

the build of the USS United States

can be viewed here at MW.com in the scratch-build forum
here

Do keep up the momentum and impetus that you have managed to maintain hitherto !!

Kind regards

I'm not much of a rigging specialist, but sure looks good. Love the general shape of the ship and the great detailing level you've accomplished! Great job! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :woo_hoo:

I am adding another line of copper to the hull. I made 3 more boats on this ship than I did on the Pennsylvania. I put cutters in the mizzen wales and a barge off the stern. I am liking the look, so I will make 3 more for the PENNSYLVANIA nd continue the theme for the remaining ships.

What a legacy! Beautiful work. As I mentioned a while back, your build is very meaningful to me as my great-grandfather served on the ship as a teenager from 1842 to 1845. I look forward to the day when I can see the ship in person in a museum :-).

Hello threebs,

:thumbs_up_1:
An inspiration to continue to expand the detail work on my own subjects.

Are you planning to put these on public display? All this work, your impressive results, I expect it would make a great exhibition for your neighbors. Perhaps the local town hall, or public library, or maybe a nearby museum.

Regards,
JoeP
