I don't think there are tariffs on model kits?

And it probably will...world-wide deliveries are at a snail's pace, and even domestic mail can take weeks! :Tirade:

The reason we are waiting is that it is not released yet. It was announced several years ago. Methinks they have just forgotten about it.

Thanks for posting this, I had no idea this was in the works! I've wanted another 1/350 US cruiser for a long time! :woo_hoo:

Now I just need to find a seller in the US. I think customs opened the one model I got from overseas to inspect it. It turned out ok but I'm not too crazy about the chance of them losing something.

The Very Fire Cleveland is produced in conjunction with Blue Ridge Models/Freetime Hobbies in Georgia state, so you can get it from them: https://freetimehobbies.com/1-350-blue- ... -preorder/

That is exciting news. The rear turret was placed as a coastal artillery just a few kilometers from where I grew up. It is now a museum in a popular hiking area.

Might very well get this kit just because of that.

Hello,
no need for that.
We offer a small diorama base with a turret since many years:

I bought one of these and it was a nice little build for something different to do. :cool_2:

Thanks for the suggestions, but I wasn't planning on building a coastal fort (until now). Rather, I thought of building the Gneisenau since I've known about that ship since I was probably 6, and visited the battery several times, although never entered.

According to the Trumpeter site the 1/700 Type 054A frigate is full-hull so that might be the case with the type 052C as well.

I would like to know but I guess it's not possible to get an answer from them. I'm also interested in their early British battlecruisers they announced some time last year....

Very Fire's Des Moines is now available for pre-order in 1/700 scale. Freetime has the base version, while Hobby Search also links to the DX version: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10700720

It looks like Hood on the sidecover, but I can be wrong.
