It could be worse, WWII carriers carried more and smaller aircraft! It's a big ship and will be a big model!

Hi,Tom!
It will be a big aircraft carrier model. The problem of in this scale is just aircraft. There are no plastic model kits.
It's difficult and bored to built large numbers of aircraft.

Aircraft are quite impressive! An interesting way to begin the project, many small items that are models in their own right. A feeling of accomplishment which is necessary for keeping the creative forces going!

Cheers: Tom

Song,

Sir, you are an astounding craftsman! I have a feeling I would be covered in bandages and the planes would all still be blocks of wood (more likely in the trash) if I attempted something like this. Amazing work and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Even the plastic tricycle models usually require some nose ballast to not fall on their tails. Lead shot perhaps mixed into a epoxy putty matrix works well.

This is a big ship and will be a large model, looking forward to Song beginning on the hull!

Song, I burst out laughing reading about the plane falling on it's tail after completion. There is still much trial and error in model making. Yes I have had the Ahhhhh moments. Many transport aircraft utilize tail stands while loading.
