The already surprised us with a 1/35 scale russian gun turret for the navy,
but they sure did a much bigger battleship gun turret kit now for us shipaholics
look at this kit , a 1/72 scale Yamato 18 inch gun turret , a whopping 50 cms total in length

Seeing the pictures confirms my suspicion. Meng kits seem very comparable to their Academy counterparts. Though I have never built one, their Missouri seems very similarly detailed, and is built with their "fast snap fit design", all the way down to the chunky AA batteries. You could almost say the same of Academy's Missouri and Enterprise. They also seem to have very pronounced hull plating to more easily satisfy those not looking to hyper detail.
Just received Flyhawk/Sphyrna PLAN Type 055 cruiser. Very economic on parts, but typical Flyhawk detail - looks really good! One departure from usual Flyhawk is the absence of a waterline plate. Upper hull is divided in two halves, and then the lower hull. A multi-piece main deck. And, unfortunately, no included PE.
Invincible had different turrets than her sisters. In fact, she carried two types of turrets herself.

For evaluation purposes these were electrically driven BIX and BX turrets, two each built by Vickers and Armstrongs.[8] They proved to be a failure despite two lengthy refits in 1909 and 1911 and were converted to hydraulic power during her refit in early 1914 at a cost of �151,200. The situation was so bad during her gunnery trials in October 1908 that the captain of HMS Excellent, the Royal Navy's chief gunnery school, described their operation in the following manner: "When the order was given to train the turret, elevate or run a gun in or out, it was only necessary to push a button, or move a switch, but the result was often a flash of blue flame which seemed to fill the turret."[9]

Just a quick question as regards Flyhawk, it seems like ages ago we had the announcement that their first 350th scale kit was coming, a Prince of Wales, I did buy upgrade parts for the Tamiya kit and did a bit of hull and turret modifications, but with the Flyhawk announcement I've held off continuing.
Maybe I've missed some news but has anyone got any idea just when, or even if, thanks to current situations, this kit is going to be released?
Because of the announcement of Fly Hawk, I urgently completed my kit from Tamiya. It was recently published in Gallery. Otherwise, I could not resist buying a new set)).

Since Trumpeter released a 1/350 heavy cruiser HMS Cornwall, does this mean they will also release her sister 1/350 HMS Dorsetshire also in the future? Sorry if I missed a past announcement about it.
