She is being designed to plans and pictures of the ship, however the kit in mind will be any of the HMS Kent kits as the deck is closest to Canberra's and will require the least rescribing of the deck. However, with a Aoshima Dorsetshire(808) in hand these parts should be able to be easily grafted on that kit as well.

Awesome. I've been driving myself nuts converting the Niko Florida to USS Utah over the last six months or so and finally getting close to done. Then I see a conversion kit is soon to be released. If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

Sorry about that NavyDave! That is however sometimes how it it goes, but "a scrathbuilt one in the hand is better than two manufactured in the future" You can see the Turret Housings on my Shapeways shop and see them on completed build. I am working on bringing it all over to print in house, so better price, quality and hopefully faster turnaround.

Hey, Matt-I have your turret housings for the project-they're beautiful. The toughest work has been to get the torpedo bulges right, and change some of the arrangement to the forward superstructure. What else do you intend to have available for this conversion?

Thank you for your purchase!
The intended set will be the Gunhouses and the forward superstructure sans cage mast in 1/700. I have the funnel as well in 1/350, but the searchlight tower structure doesn�t look like it will print well in 1/700. Unfortunately I don�t have anything planned for the blisters other than perhaps a scaled plan of how far to sand them down. Will have more details as I get closer to release.

Matt, this is great news! I will definitely be a customer! Love what you have produced so far! The Utah upgrades will be a welcome addition to my stash. Now I can start to bug you to produce a backdated bridge (1941) for the Texas and New York kits.

The reason I asked is because I have an extra Kent that I was going to give to my brother, but now I won't. Looking forward to the conversion set

Congratulations on getting up and running. I am looking forward to updates on the 1500 tonner options as you know! My plan is to do all 4 of the kits (Benham /Stack/Henley/Gridley) in various outfits with appropriate names.
