Help locate plans ?

Post by Fil »

Hey guys fancy having my first shot at scratchbuilding and maybe making an rc boat in a large scale.

I want to try and make an ww2 rn destroyer. Something along the lines of tribal, j, k, n class.

Ive had a look at the sites listed in the stickys but i cant find any plans for these ships. Can someone please help ?

cheers

John Lambert has some below.

Many where used in Christopher Langtree's the Kelly's book, I also can reccomend John he's good value for money, swift and will help where he can:-

http://www.lambert-plans.com/encom/index.htm

Thats about the best value I can reccomend unless you have top money and wish to go to the NMM and order from them?

Hallo Fil, :wave_1:

I have ordered plans of K , N , class destroyers at National Maritime Museun , Greenwich Londen . These plans came in scale 1/48 .
There are 9 plans of HMS Kelly 1938 , and 6 plans of HMS Napier 1941.
As I have mentioned before these plans do not come cheap , but are worhth every penny.

Regards,

Ludwig

kewl

good luck in finding the plans you need

i have the ribs cut for a dutch "admiralen" class destroyer (like the ones that fought in the battle of the java sea) and as mine will be in 1/144 scale it will be tiny but armed :-)

i suggest finding a size and handy scale before starting on a destroyer starting on a tribal in 1/48 may lead to getting a stretched Mini to transport it.

Profile Morskie has a heap of destroyers including a Tribal, several o class and french, american,a dutch, and a japanese destroyer.

you can find them online thru Google

good luck
