Incidentally, I few weeks ago I got (cheaply) from China 0.02 mm copper- and 0.007 mm silver-wire. The latter is also available in 0.08 mm and 0.09 mm diameter. It seems that these wires are used in the repair of cell-phones.

You did an outstanding job Jim.

One would think that this is the real Normandy by admiring your photos and your model.

Everything is successful, the boat, the sea, the little details, the whole is extraordinary. Great art!

Can't wait to see your next project. :thumbs_up_1:

Very evocative ... a pity that the modern sea-cruises are a far cry in style compared to those trans-Atlantic liners of old.

I really cannot possibly articulate how impressively you bent this kit into such a gorgeous product.

Magnificent. After seeing what you went through, I'm glad I unloaded this kit.

Jim, this was not an easy build for you, nor was it short by any measure.
After seeing the end result it is obvious that every minute of hard work was worth the effort!
The model is just as magnificent as the real ship, what is more, even manages somehow to look better than the original in these pictures, which truly show a work of art, not just a model.
It does not get any better than this!

THANK YOU ALL for your kind words of praise and appreciation gents!

very much appreciated-- it was a loooong protracted build... and there are many things I would do differently now

but in the end--it looks much like the real ship.. which is what we all sort of aim for!!

anyhow

many thanks for the looking

here is another photo (which is my current PC screensaver-)- the lighting makes it look like

....imminent rain!

Hello Jim

Well, what to say... other than you pushed the envelope again with another gem in your collection - and what a beauty of a vessel it is!
The first photo.... we have to love a ship with those lines!

Congrats!
Cheers
