new 1/700 scale 3D printed airplanes

I finally finished listing all 546 1/700 scale 3D printed aircraft available on the Tom's Modelworks website. We are starting to print these in gray resin on our new SLA printer which gives smooth surfaces. Will post pictures as I can. Most of these 1/700 models are also available in 1/350 scale but I don't have time to list those.

Yep the 1/480 is for the Revell Yorktown. I'm working a prewar fit circa 1939 or so just before the yellow wing aircraft went gray. I have most of the air wing for the Yorktown handled except for the ever elusive 1/480 to 1/500 Northrop BT-1. I would be interested in both open and closed canopy versions. Closed for the the deck spotting and open for the hanger bay. This is my major interest at this time.

On the 1/535 front I was actually I was thinking more Oriskany/Shangra La/Intrepid etc. I could use some A-4E/Fs, F-8Js and AD-3s.

And come to think of it I do have the later 1/542 Forrestal class from Revell, the Saratoga boxing. I could use some E2-Cs for that.

Yes and I've ordered a couple of sets (TBDs & F4Fs). The TBDs are great but the F4Fs come sans landing gears. So do most of the birds I would need for a Vietnam Essex class or Forrestal class... The idea of making little itty bitty landing gear struts and wheels for very small scale aircraft is a bit daunting.

I did this for one Martin P5M Mariner on my USS Pine Island build and it took several tries to get the beaching gear to allow the plane to stand level and with the correct nose up attitude. I just can't see doing that on 30 to 40 aircraft. I mean I gave up the idea on the 10 F4Fs I wanted to spot on the Enterprise's deck.

So maybe you could do some photo etch gears with wheels attached for some of these. I mean I would have to deal with cementing to the aircraft but at least I would be starting with all gears being the same length.

Thanks, but these are 1/700 scale and would be way undersized for the Revell Yorktown and Enterprise. These kits are the old box scale kits in 1/487.
