Trivia: REAR WINDOW and the SS Athenia

TRIVIA--in Alfred Hitchcock's REAR WINDOW, Judith Evelyn played "Miss Lonelyhearts". Evelyn and her fiance, Canadian radio producer Andrew Allan, were among the survivors when their ocean liner, the SS Athenia, became the first British ship to be torpedoed and sunk by a German U-boat on September 3, 1939 in the opening days of World War II. Of the 1,418 people on the Athenia, 117 died.

That was a good movie. I watched it for the first time a month or two ago and certainly enjoyed it.
