U.S. Manufacturing Involvement in WWII - Interesting Website

Post by BB62vet »

Here's a website I found devoted to highlighting the U.S. corporations that were involved in war materiel production for the WWII defense industries:
http://usautoindustryworldwartwo.com/index.htm
In spite of its web name, it covers quite a broad span of involvement. I found out that even The Gibson Guitar Co. in Kalamazoo, MI was involved (skis for U.S.A. gliders) in the war effort. The individual company tabs offer a wealth of info/photos, etc. of the types of military equipment that each of these companies produced or was involved in manufacturing.

Hope this is of interest to other modelers.
