Here's a website I found devoted to highlighting the U.S. corporations that were involved in war materiel production for the WWII defense industries:

In spite of its web name, it covers quite a broad span of involvement. I found out that even The Gibson Guitar Co. in Kalamazoo, MI was involved (skis for U.S.A. gliders) in the war effort. The individual company tabs offer a wealth of info/photos, etc. of the types of military equipment that each of these companies produced or was involved in manufacturing.
