I made a lot of additions to the basic kit you got from them.

currently I'm really exhausted with this project. I tried to make separate pieces to get good results on the surfaces, but I stopped somewhere in between.

But I can offer you the CAD/STL-files if you are able to print.
And I can offer them in different time frames - maybe you can spot the differences in the pictures (1962 and 1974).

It appears to be the main support for the ECM framework on that side. It most likely has the ECM Electronics and power supplies inside.
I've noticed other ships like Bainbridge DLGN-25 and Long Beach CGN-9 got similar sized structures supporting the ULQ ECM in the same time period.

What are the thoughts on the various layouts of the Enterprise's hangar deck that folks have done? Many of the aftermarket decks, including the drawings by Tom Pope depict a rectangular deck. However, in this post:

...as well as the associated drawing, show the deck as NOT rectangular.

The problem is, you aren't going to get official drawings. That means you have to go by visual clues.

Here's my take on it.

1) The hangar walls are not the same as the hull sides. ie, there are rooms between the outer and inner walls. (bulkheads if you want)

That means that the hangar doesn't have to conform to the outer lines of the hull.

2) The Saratoga BoGP drawings show narrowing of the aft and fwd end of the hangar walls. She is a 'supercarrier' designed and built in the same era as Enterprise.

3) Naval Designers aren't going to design a curved inner wall unless they have to. Angled walls, yes. Curves not so much. Does that mean it's impossible, not by a long shot, just not likely in my opinion.

4) and finally, the rectangular offerings are perfectly suitable for a 1/350 model, unless you intend to remove the flight deck for viewing. You will never be able to tell if the fwd and aft sections are narrower.

Here are photos of CV60, CVN65 and CVN68 highlighting what I think are changes in the hangar wall direction.
Also included is a drawing from a training manual showing a curved hangar wall. I've come across errors like this in manuals before, The person creating the drawing doesn't care how accurate it is, as long as it gets the point across. I've added what I think it actually looks like.
And finally, overhead views of the flight decks. Interestingly, All the elevators have straight inner edges, except the furthest fwd one on Enterprise. Angled to match the hangar or hull? probably. The other ships have the door landing interface compensating for this.

I'm trying to create a better LSO platform area on my TAMIYA Enterprise carrier. The below pics are of the LSO area on the Gerald Ford class carriers. But the black colored "basket" for lack of a better word is fairly common on the LSO area on US Navy carriers. How can I create this for my Enterprise carrier? Is there an aftermarket set available or not? If not, then any tips and techniques for scratch building this?

Correct. Lots of space, for reasons, between the shell and inner hangar bulkheads. Top is FORRESTAL class looking aft, frame 123/124 and bottom is a NIMITZ class looking forward frame 78. That area in the NIMITZ is just forward of the hanger proper in shop space area.

Does anyone have pics of the focsle by chance? There are some in the detail & scale book but they are small and in black & white. I searched on here but nothing came up so hoping someone might have them from a tour or other sources. I�m modeling the Kitty Hawk right now so any of the class would be good.
