Ok, one more curveball but an easy(ish) one. The Washington had six Mk49 directors for her 1.1�s. They were installed just before heading to the Pacific. The stern ones are most clearly seen in this image

I tried to adjust a bit color and tints on deck. Looks slightly better I am not happy and fully convinced about the way it looks.

small progres on stern�. I blended a bit contrast. Now colors seem to be more realistic. In real light model is lighter then on photos�

I think it may go well with fittings� (catapult is preliminary positioned - it will go on tube base)

I am not sure if any admiral boat too. Actually Rear Admiral Lee was on her in this battle - so does it make sense that admiral boat was also on the spardeck?

The effect is discrete. Paint will not make it bolder nor weaker. In reality looks like natural - depends on light reflections...

I am definitely stealing this technique for my Akagi! That really does look impressive!

Mk 37 Fire Director with Mk 4 Radar:

Bending PE part to get proper "W" shape in Mk4 is quite challenging. I created dedicated tool to make this job easy and (most important) repeatable:
