Hello all

Low back pain is hard to leave :censored_2: , but nothing to do with the beginning of the crisis!! Work continuous on the Richelieu, but the work is splits into two at this level. Indeed, I judge that work on the diorama could begin at this stage and for those I have to determine the size of the portion of port. The work was greatly facilitated by the fact that the hangar of the port of Dakar still exists and its dimensions have not been changed, and thanks to Google Hearth and its tool "measure" I have determine accurately the dimensions of the portion of the harbor, a reconnaissance photo dated of 42 is available ........!! So I could finally determine the overall layout of this harbor

Image

In the blue arrows, where the sea has: in yellow, part of the breakwater: in red the quay and for the black arrow, a sailor .... Just for the scale
Viewed from the rear

Image

From the front

Image

And finally in the sense of "reading" of the dio

Image

Image

I remind you that the action will be more focused on the rear, or are the catapults
The largely empty of sea which could be a default in normal time for the eye ,but for once, justified because indeed ,it is here that the two anti-torpedo nets and the cylindrical floats are installed, that'll give a little "more" at my eyes on this diorama.
nota:the hangar and the breakwater are of "rough drafts" to the right size, but not detailed
cheers

Nicolas,

I always love seeing your progress. I bet you could take all your posts on ONE ship and write a ship building tutorial.

Hello all

Small advances ,not on the Richelieu (I'm stuck because of watertight doors are in commands) but ,on the accessories that go beings present on the dio, for starters, crates present in the environment of the hangar

Image

Image

And of electrical cable drums

Image

to give you an idea the size of crates, a photo of with the 1cts coin

Image

I spent 5:00, for to make the all (8 different sizes of crates) . But, I am glad of the result. As usual, parts prepared for molding

Image

I will try, to make of the barrels.. And I am looking to do the spherical floats for the anti-torpedo nets. So gentlemen, if you have any close-up photos, I'm interested
a +

Nicolas,
you are a crazy Gaul my friend!

Jokes away, I whish I had only half of your skills in modelling ships. Your first Richelieu set a milestone for all, your second is overwhelming it by far and what will come next? :thumbs_up_1:

Come clean Nicolas... I know you are really doing this in 1/96 scale and taking photos with a giant fake 1 cent piece. Image

JK... some people go to the circus or Las Vegas to be shocked and amazed but I just google "Le Bosco build". :thumbs_up_1:

... typical french answer - how much bosco is left in there for the real Bosco? I guess this one is referred to a 1:1 build, some things should not be downsized!

Je crois bien, si tu dit, que tu vas retourner vers tes casques, on pourrait croire - oui, cest la rputation franaise - que tu retourneras vers une casque de bosco ral :-)

Et il ne faudrait jamais diminuer le got en chelle 1:350!

Amicalement, Daniel
