After completing the gun ports, here she is awaiting her last piece of the first layer of planking:

It's a satisfying feeling attaching that last piece of plank, but then this fades when you realize that you're doing a double planked model and have to do a second layer of planks, this time strictly following the proper butt shifts and other planking rules LOL.

After roughly 10 years on and off building, here now is my HMS Triton in her current state with the first planking complete and all the gun ports framed:

That's all the update I have. Now I just have to find the inspiration to redo all my lost drawings so I could proceed to build the ship's stem and keel and proceed to second planking. Maybe after another 10 more years, I'll be able to do that LOL. That's all for now. Thanks.
