I'm building a super-detailed Tamiya Missouri with all the PE from Eduard and Alliance Modelworks. The Alliance 40mm gun tub ammo racks are so fine as to be almost unmanageable. I notice you've put ammo racks in your AA gun tubs. How did you space them vertically? The GMM tub racks have little bend down spacers on the brass, but the Alliance ones have nothing but the tiny ring.

Also, what do you use to apply CA? I always seem to be getting too much on the plastic and making a minor mess.

HI folks

Builder
For the spacing vertical , I used portions of plastic card , cut, has wished lengthes

Otherwise, on the deck of my Richelieu ,I have eliminate every "bad details" moulded by trumpeter, that I am going to replace by moldings in resin that I am going to make
in first time ,the hatch cover and "clair voie" (??in inglish)
Image
Then, the air vents , and the present "metallic cupboards" on the deck
Image
the new winches
Image
It is the tour of the turret of 152
Image
The same with the rangefinder
Image
and for the finish, one view of the rear,or we see a sliding door which it is necessary to add
Image
see you later for the new update
best regarts

superb work.

love the quality of your resin casting. do you have a vacuum machine for preventing bubbles or do you use another method?
and again, what kind and brand of resin do you use?

Hi stephano

Thank you for your comment! I used of the polyurthane Resins of the Axson brand (But ,of other brand, suit as well ). Effectively ,I used a vaccum pump ,to avoid bubbles, but my vaccum pump, becomes asthmatic :Mad_6:
I hope have answered has your questions and that you understand my "English"

Hello everyone

new works
the end of the work of improvement of telemetry
Image
Image
slightly better than the original telemetry (gray) no?
I moulded the "generics" parts, now I have to install them
I to begin with the bathtubs of 40mm,but I noticed that on the parts of origin, that the space between both arrows is not rather wide
Image
Thus, I modified everything, before installing the parts news(The space between both arrows is more in accordance)
Image
Do not forget two ladders on the stern
Image
the bathtubs with the "generics" parts!
Image
Image
in situation on the deck
Image
The rest are going to follow
best regards

Hello Nicolas,

I'm speechless.... Your parts are outstanding! If you ever plan to release your own upgrade set, please let me know.
Richelieu was such a beauty, and your modifications will bring up the Trumpi kit to an amazing level of detail!

All the best from Switzerland

Hi gents
Thank you for your comments  ,EJFoeth , to write..,but ,I do not have a lot of time for my project!!!! Promised if I find of time, I the fact , but I think, that the others already have write on the subject, best I can do
A little update (I work from day to day )
In first ,the fairlead of the bow is ended
Image
The place (pavois in French ???in english)of the 20mm which the French sailors had nicknamed "the cemetery",the part of Trompi is detailed with the new air vents that I had molded
Image
I have to moulded quite a lot of air vents, because nothing that on this part ,11 are needed
Last bathtubs of 40mm, improved
Image
I work on my project in the following way, for the first deck, of the stern has the bow,for the second deck ,of the bow has the stern ,and so on ,that avoids the oversights
A picture of the progress
Image
Has the next for the continuation

You should consider casting a few extras of the resin parts to sell as an update set. I know I would be willing to pay. Beautiful work, and immensly enhancing the kit.
