Hello again,

I don't know if this fits in this forum, but I'm looking for a translator from Russian text into English, what I mean is translating from ?????????? to Steregushchiy and not into "Guarding" so from Russian characters written in western European characters!
I hope I make myself clear.
A list would be welcome too !

John.

PS: Found already a Translation list from Russian into English. Thanks anyway.

Andrey, the problem is that I can not long enough log into the site to contact you, if you are registered on this site, you can click on my name and send me a private message, which I did to you !
Please try again !
Well, I just tried to log in to http://forums.airbase.ru/viewforum.php?id=91, but after a few seconds the contact was frozen, I also could not find the log in button.

Andrey: you should be able to use our PM system now. All users must have made 3 approved posts while logged in before the PM function is enabled (it's to keep out the spammers), and I have converted one of your unregistered posts to registered to meet that 3-post requirement.

Well, I give up, if possible I will delete my registration on this forum: http://forums.airbase.ru/2007/08/t57614 ... schij.html Sorry, but I tried everything possible, it seems that I'm the only one in the world having this problem!! It's a shame because there are a lot of beautiful pictures etc on there and a very interesting forum :heh:

So, I'm not the only one having problems!!! But that is exactly what I mean, once on the forum, it's impossible to browse around and download photos !
Well, I think we have to live with it, there is a nice guy on the forum that sent me some pictures downloaded from the forum, maybe it's provider dependable too, tomorrow I'm going to phone them !
But it's a pity that we have to discuss about this in this beautiful forum meant for talking about our biggest interest "Ships".
By the way, how is the build going, long time nothing heard about it !

Hello John Basically I can at least show why there has been a delay in commencing the build of the Steregushchiy. This is an impromptu picture of HMS Daring which was taken some time after the primer coat was applied and before I started to add most of the detail, which surprisingly being a stealth ship is quite considerable [Steregushchiy is similar in respects to "hidden" detail}. This is now nearing completion and then I can concentrate my energies on project 20380. Building the kashtan does at least put the cart before the horse so to speak but it is in effect a start of sorts. :heh: :thumbs_up_1:

John, the airbase forum demands a certain amount of posts (if I remember correctly it's 50) before you can download most pics. I never have a problem downloading any pics from that board.

Dave, great to see the Daring in this advanced stage. You said BEFORE adding the details??? It looks already pretty detailed to me! Railings and perhaps window wipers are still missing I see...

Stereguchiy is a lot more cluttered I suppose. I found a picture of a sort of dipping sonar she carries near the funnel as well! Will you add that too? :heh:

HI Roel my friend keeping me focused, yes I have noticed this and it is on the drawings. I am quite surprised on the number of differences that exist between Steregushchiy and Boikiy especially aft on the sides of the hanger. Have you seen the Gorshkov project 22350 , that ship looks even more appealing oh dear I'm getting carried away :heh: :cool_1: Getting more down to earth there remains parts of the Steregushchiy that I can't quite evaluate , but no doubt that will be resolved as the build progresses "he hopes" Thanks for looking in .

hello John The drawings for both Steregushchiy and Boikiy { separate drawings } are produced by a retired naval architect and will eventually be shown as part of the build, they will be available in the near future .

Hello Dave,

Not sure which parts you "can't quite evaluate", but perhaps following link can help you:

http://forums.airbase.ru/2012/10/t57614 ... .8329.html

It's from airbase, but it's not from the normal navy board, it's from the modelbuilding part on Stereguchiy. I've noticed this topic has more detailed shots, including those parts next to the hangar, but whithout the boats in place. So a better view of what's around those boats is seen here. Hope it can help you. Let me know which other parts you don't have a good reference on, I'll see if I can find something.

:thumbs_up_1:

btw, saw your article on Daring's Zodiac and the installations behind it inside that "hangar" space. Really great reading!
