Hello all
thanks Jenshb
a small report on the progress
the gateways have been permanently installed, and on the navigation bridge for windows , I will use, portions of black decal
just above the bridge is a speaker installed beings (red arrows)
the railings and other details such as convoy lights (blue arrows) and the supports of the navigations lights (green arrow) are installed at this stage
the area becomes "charged", it becomes hard to gluing parts, mainly with my "cocktail sausages", I inherited as fingers
proof, pictures of what'll be the next stage of assembly ,you see the space is limited, and the dangers increased:
if not, for to advance the project , I needed to assemble the typical radar 285P and their supports in PE, engraved for me by my friend Bruno. I must say that I dreaded the assemble, finesse seen ,as the parts engraved by bruno, are "diabolical finesse"!
but well one hours I managed to get this
one hours ,because we must to take it easy

, the result will have "look great" on rangefinders.
I still have work to do ..... but I stay of more motivated
for the time being the Richelieu sleeps here
protected
see you soon
Nicolas

The ship had a very Interesting life span.
The radar looks very fragile.

Hello folks
thanks for your kind comments. Rob ,me too I'm looking forward to seeing all these elements coming together,me too
but ,it is not with assembling this kind of thing, it'll go faster
these are benches of "garden" ,it's again BGIRE(Bruno) who have engraved to me ,these little wonders
indeed , the ships of the french "marine national" (and others navy?) are equipped of benches . on the Richelieu ,they were here
on the rear of the roof ,just after the turret of 152mm
see you soon

Other navies had those as well.
Note the benches in the railing and aft capstan on board the Dutch cruiser De Ruyter
Nice detail!

Hello gents
a little update on the " drome d'embarcations" in French
in first on the rowboats motorized ,two stairs in PE are installed

on the speedboats the handrails are installed

the PE dedicated to rowboats motorized and speedboats does not exist, it was necessary that I "tinker",except for some details (windscreen, railing, ..)
a speedboat, temporarily equipped

the details prepared before the paint

a transmission shaft for the propeller is installed on each "boat" (red arrow)

the first coats of paint ,"wood" for inside the rowboats motorized, grey for the easement speedboats, white for that of Commander

then ,the overall paint ( hull blue for the commander speedboat)

masking for painting of the antifouling

and the final result

still some detail to paint, of black decals for windows
see you soon for the rest
best regards
nicolas

Yes Nicoles. Its all those small things that make up the picture and give so much detail to a model.
Nice going and watching with Interest.

thanks you gents for your comments

you have well captured "my philosophy of the thing"
remember,Trumpy "gives" that

it would have been a shame to leave it like that

Hello Gents
Smooth recovery after well-earned holiday
In first, finishing of rowboats motorized (installation of supports for the buoys, and steering wheels)
On speedboats, I put portions of black decal to represent windows, after the matt varnish, I will put of kristal klear (remains to ask, the windscreens, railings, and the propellers)
Like the taste come back, have "spice" the sauce!!
The propellers provided by Trumpy are false... Ultimately, good for a Russian submarine.....actually, not sure
In a first time, rounding the blade roots (on the pointed portions)
Cut the news trailing edges in of the plastic card
Glued the extensions
Sand the thickness and shapes (the grey blade has the "good" shape)
After finishing, the comparison between the two models
And on the drive shafts
I prefer the shapes of my propellers
Finally, after have realized that it needed to raise the height at four corners of the structure supporting the rowboats (chantier fixe in French)!!!
I also redid the "catwalk" with of the grid (it was a "sheet" on my first version)
Now, the height is good (red arrow)
So, here's, the view of the mounted assembly temporarily
Here, the return to "affairs" is done
See you soon
Nicolas

HI gents
Continued work on the positions of operating of the load masts, by the addition of railing
I' am not crazy ,I not making a Celtic cross..!
It is only the basis of the manufacture of pulleys with hooks that are under the masts
Are fabricated, two triangular brackets for the heads of the load masts, a foghorn, and a whistle
The whole is assembled temporarily to see the eventual defects
the output of the T-shaped antennas is installed
And that unsightly area, formed on the Barbette of the rangefinder is appeared!!
To be make a reshaping this area. The new parts, thatll come "cover" the half of the barbette
The new barbette installed
Its better that way, right?
The rowboats and the speedboats and many details are definitely installed
It becomes difficult to come glued the parts!!! This is starting to take shape
best regards
Nicolas
