My sterey hull from Tim Amos at southern cross models just arrived! It's a beautiful piece of work too. The size difference with the AWD is scary though

Anton here are the latest pictures of my Stergy (Not Sterey) I had to rebuild my superstructure 3 times before I got it right in my eye. Yes there are still problems but I can live with them. I'll try to work on the bridge of the Stergy. Still not sure if I have windows or holes where the windows will be. Running gear will be tweaked over the next few days and hope to get some paint and running shots early next year at the Navy Arvo at the Hubertus Model Boat Club. Come on Peter (ACT) gonna get yours wet also?

Dave Wooley, a question for you.
Have you a source where you can get you letters for your ship done? I think a few people may need this answer.

Now you are effectively high jacking this topic! :heh: Making good progress so far. Would indeed be nice to see everyone's different approach to this same ship. I'm sure Dave will put less effort in the RC part and more in the detailing, although that of course, remains to be seen whenever he gets started :submarine:
Not sure if everything should be in one topic though... Perhaps better to have seperate ones to keep it easier to see the progress.

Neptune many people have waited long enough.
Yes I'm kinda high jacking it but if not me someone would one day.
I see many people have been looking at the pictures I have posted so there are people out there that want to see this get a move on.
If Dave wants me to move to my own build I will gladly move but in the end we are all building this class of ship and I really enjoy seeing what is out there and how other people approach the same build.

Well Neptune no one else has posted for a time so here is a little of what I was up to on Australia Day In Canberra. Two of my friends are also building the Stergy and Dave brought his down to show as did I.
Pictures show it best.

Thanks Drew. BOIKY superstructure coming on well. Going to build one?

Hear Dave Woolley is about to start - looking forward to his detail work. Suspect that I will have finished the main superstructure soon.

BTW running two ESCs. :cool_1:

Yeah, you made quite some progress. With these stealth ships it looks like you're already halfway (sort of  ).

Neptune you say half way, I WISH!!!
The other reason I hadn't posted is that I had to re-engine and rebuild the stern section from rudder to deck. I'm much happier now that it's done.
Little hint to all, if you plan to open windows below the stern section make sure its water tight behind these windows.
When I first took her out the ship buried her stern and I took water, not much but enough to stop and do the rebuild.
As soon as the weather here cools down I'll take her out for a run and get some pictures.
Here in this part of Australia we have had temps above 35C to yesterday of 42C. Needs to cool down to around 35 or below before I work in the oven I call a shed.
Even with the insulation it is just to hot to do any work.
