The entire Dorsetshire kit has been rescaled EXCEPT for the bridge structure�so you get an undersized bridge. You can modify/chop and use the bridge from the Norfolk kit to get an accurate Dorsetshire kit�but why should you have to? Argh! But honestly, most people won't notice the difference. So if it doesn't really matter to you much, go ahead and get the Dorsetshire kit. And purists can fix it, if they desire.

The kit with the number 808 kit is the one corrected to 1/700 (except of some parts of the bridge). There are not many differences between Dorsetshire's fits of May 1941 and April 1942. Dorsetshire got a single 40 mm on the stern, Type 290 radar on the foremast, and Type 284 radar (with a Type 285 antenna) on the DCT (see British Cruisers Two World Wars and After by Norman Friedman). These parts are either already included or cannot be depicted by plastic parts.

I just received my Pit Road/Flyhawk IJN Kagero. Pit Road didn't give Flyhawk any credit for the production, either on box, instructions, nor sprues; so the casual buyer might think it is totally Pit Road until they buy a previous release - and are very disappointed! The kit contains under 140 parts, including a stand, which is rather conservative for a Flyhawk kit, but has all the usual attention to detail as Flyhawk kits. Even the upper and lower hulls line up perfectly and the join seam is virtually invisible as it follows a strake line. I'd like to get into building it immediately, but maybe (hopefully) Flyhawk will release a PE set for "1/700 Pit Road Kagero".

I can confirm this is the Viribus Unitus as the artwork matches Randall Wilson's artwork he
produced for Trumpeter for the Box-Art several months ago ( he also did the Svent Istvan artwork )

Any idea when we can expect the DIDO classes to be released?
Having bought Exeter and Cornwall, I have foregone York and and Kent in the wait for a Dido.
One of each class will do me.
Exeter or York? Exeter came first and has more historical significance.
No Suffolk, so the 1st County out of the trap, which happened to be Cornwall.
Not enough differences to me to justify buying all versions of Counties - I fell into that trap with the Tribals and the Zerstorers, not to mention all 3 of the Hipper class, so am ,limiting myself to one example of each marque from now on.
One Dido next and that'll do unless they do a smaller DKM cruiser or Leander class.

that artwork is not Szent Istvan. She did not have torpedo nets and had a S/L platform that wrapped round the funnels. This could be any one of the other 3 units

Are there any plans by ANY manufacturer (even a repop in resin) of a 1/700 New Mexico class ship? I remember Midship Models had all 3 in prewar configuration and I know ISW does a 1944 New Mexico. I'd like to build Idaho because it was built in Camden NJ and scrapped in Newark NJ (where I'm from).
