The anchor form Trumpeter is clear the better one Nicolas ...

... only a joke of course.
I'm always stunning for your detail work Nicolas, and it gives me innovations amd impulses what I can improve at my builds...

I don't know how the hell I missed this build until now, but just let me say WOW! Great job Nicolas! The attention to detail and accuracy is great, and paying off nicely. I totally understand about spending lots of time on one tiny part like the anchors, but that is what makes builds of this level truly special, all the work that you know you put into it.
Keep at it, I'll be sure to keep checking this thread now!

Good evening all
as I told you, the anchors of trumpy, have an side "donkey ears" ... the evidence by the image, and I swear ,I only have move the picture
surprising, right?
more seriously, projectors 35cm and 60 cm were cast (not by me, too fine)
the "scott" for example, has a diameter of 1mm. the molding of projectors , allows me to pass to finish of castle ,in fact tonight I just finished work on the hull!!! but first I had to realize the support of flag pole stern
in passing, the projos were fitted with "platform"
this little world painted , and with a "black juice" applied
I finished assembling the hull, with the installation of 100 guns, 40 quad, and finally the 380
the hull received some traces of runoff ,with a pastel powder black and dark brown, which "break" a immaculate side of the hull
for the moment, the effects are visually marked, because the white light of my light sources, and the effects going to be more that mitigated by applying a matt varnish
after almost 2 years, I make the finishes.... and I must say it is a bit "funny" to have passed this crucial stage
best regards
Nicolas

Looking very good! I hope it is secured safely to that wood frame you are using! It would be very sad if it fell off!

I can only sign this for all projects projects from Nicolas too, because they show all the things what ship modelling is, from the basics up to the awesome reworked details and corrections. It makes me as beginner at ships always stunning and I learn much.
Of course are many great and awesome builds here, no doubts, so no miss-understandings please, but most I learned until now from Nicolas and 3 or 4 other projects.

Hi Nicolas.
What did you use for the weathering on the hull side.
I will need to do this to mine later.

HI gents
thank you to you for your appreciations
capt'n
I use pastels sticks, reduced powdered ,with a Razor Blade
the powder be applied using a fine brush ,the brushes of various sizes are used depending on desired effect
an example of effect that can be obtained, with the pastel
until it is not fixed by a veil of matt varnish, you can remove the effect, with the aid of a brush dipped in water
Otherwise, I attack the last line right on the castel. in a first time, the 40mm quad and the 152 turret ,are permanently bonded, and 60 cm projectors are installed in the walkway of the bridge "majorit", joined by the four "scott" (a configuration of 1952)
the 20mm ammo boxes are installed on the platform of the chimney ,the 20 mm will follow , and projectors 120 cm have also been installed
I also begin laying cables of cranes
the hardest part was to make a "sagging" of cables
the rear mast was placed ,for the next work of the aerials
best regards
Nicolas
