I was also starting to think you are supernatural, or full-time modelling.
Great work so far!
Cheers,
Marijn
Marijn I work hard now
for example - aft superstructure was assembled in 2 days (including PE, scratchbuit)
cranes + catapults + all aviation equipment - 1 day (only PE)
2 funnels - 5 days (many scratchbuilt and PE)
all AA-gun and searchlight platforms - 5 days (a lot of PE and a lot of adjustment)
PS. 1 day "equals" 1 evening (duration 2-7 hours)

That's some really nice work, especially considering it's in 700th.

Thank you!

Shouldn't the training aiming devices be removed from the turrets?
All of the CASF threads on the IJN state that these devices were removed during operational deployment.

How are "training aiming devices" and "CASF threads" view?
Can you show me them at photo?
I don't understand what is it.

Maybe
But, some photos don't support this
For example we can see exercise aiming devices at gun turrets

Polish author suggests that it is Nachi in 1942.
And this is photo of Haguro after refit with sand bags fron Gakken. May be 1941-1942
They was only at Haguro (I don't see any photo of Nachi, Myoko, Ashigara and other cruisers of Takao class with sand bags)
And we can see a part of this device at the roof of third main gun turret
Maybe after two refittings in 1942 (March and September) this devices and sand bags (from Haguro) was removed from turrets
Because in 1943 Nachi and others didn't have them

Top photo is Nachi, 1937. Bottom photo is Haguro 1941, pre-war, according to Nihon no Gunkan vol. 5. That isn't to say that the rangefinders weren't there to start the war.

Why 1937?
This is after refit condition 1941-1942
4 torpedo tubes, turret masts, late version of airplane rails at deck, aa-guns

I stand corrected; that's mis-dated in the Nihon no Gunkan book. Proper date is January 10, 1941, per Maru Special #10

Finish outboard electric circuit
I doubt that I will remove exercise aiming devices from the gun turrets.
If I built this model as of 1943, I would have removed them.

Make first imitation of brass strips using North Star 700-030 Perforated steel superstrucrure support beams #1
I don't like this result and I would replace them by Flyhawk IJN brass strips. They are much narrow
Scratchbuild three winches using Evergreen plastic, PE from reels and wire isolation
