Hi,

I am working on the reserve anchor cluse in the stem. I use the wreck footage for reconstruction as my model will lack the reserve anchor.

Bye!

It's probably sharper than the real thing... (still not sure if that's good though :heh: )

Anyway, for a model sharpness is always good! It's probably turning out into one of the best builds I've EVER seen!

Nope, I think I'm going to sell the kit... (with my doodles in the instruction booklet, HA!)...

Or I just may build OOB, and then sell it...

Big projects are a bit ambivalent :-( I do some tank modeling at the moment to relax a bit.

Yes, totally different. But fun. Its the Hetzer tank hunter my barber sen. was trapped in at the wars end at the Age of 17 after being knocked out by a Russian tank.

Back to BISMARCK ...

I started to add the windows in the stern. Looking closely on photos of bismarck reveals that there were 2 different types of windows:

up to frame 10,5 with coaming (unarmoured shell plating)
frame 1,5 to 32 without coaming (in armour plates).

Hope youll like it!

Bye!

Hi, Bernd!

The illuminator's frames on your hull are looked very realistic!

But let me argue with you a little bit.

The Bismark's hull had no illuminators (portholes) in armored plates! The armored plates were located greatly below!
Please, look at the attached photo. It shows approx. Spt 25. There you can see the position of the armor plates (they are riveted) and rain rails (coamings) above the portholes.
with best regargs-
Anatoly.
