Hi Russ but you can never have enough of a good thing . I photograph so many warships which include the general on board shots but I always try to go for the parts of the vessel I know stock pictures never cover. I am really please with the volume of information on the Steregushchiy as its more than I ever thought possible .It wont be to long before I can make a proper start but presently Number 1 slip is well and truly occupied for a few months to come.
Just a brief look at the work on drawing up the keel from the plan

Here is a tantalizing view of the bridge and forward superstructure on the drawing .

Hi Dave, nice to see a sneak preview of a small section of your plans. They look very detailed!
Don't forget to fit that timber capping rail when the time comes!

The plans are excellent but are more GA than specific . That's not to much of a problem as the on board shots will fill in the gaps .Thanks for looking in .

Hi Dave good to see your progress....
the lack of a workshop for me is delaying my hull
how here in my country the sun is very strong with no protection(workshop is naturally a good protection)
i have affraid warping my hull
but i am making advances to build one soon . space i have.

Hi Norbert good to hear from you. Progress on Steregushchiy will be, at least initially rather slow. But having two ships on the go in a small workshop is not difficult just a little confined. My workshop is a small shed at the end of my garden , It's nice and comfortable but it is small especially when I see some of the modeller on this board with so much space you could build a full size ship

yes Dave you are right
the Kiev is in your possession?
i was thinking you have maked to the museum...
well you have a small workshop but of this workshop emerges fine ships
in my mind i stop in 1:100 scale cause the problem for me is a transportation of great scale
so my KGV have 1,41 meters and is easy to transport on my car. but only me and my model, no wife no childrens LOL

Hi Norberto I have just returned after a few long distance visits showing my American friend Bill Clarke around Chatham dock yard Museum and The Fleet Air Arm Musum . Kiev is now part of the Fleet Air Arm Museum another large ship has taken it's place on number 1 slip , number 2 slip has the Steregushchiy build. Thanks for showing interest in this new project

Hi Russ good to hear from you. Your question regarding the occupancy of number 1 slip .I can reveal that it is a 1:72nd HMS Daring. This has been under wraps for some time as the build sequence will feature in the magazine and when completed is going to a new home with the RN. I'll be returning to Steregushiy soon . Thanks for asking

Hi Dave,
Will we see Daring here, running a bit behind the magazine as per Kiev?

Hi Andrew Good to hear from you .Although Daring is well advanced It's not a scratch build , more semi kit , its big but it's not quite as taxing as a full scratch build. Eventually it will be seen somewhere on the site .I really can't post it here as it's not a scratch built model .

Hello Dave .Although most of the drawings are completed, they have been drawn as ship yard type" plans. Each part of the structure has been presented separately, I really needed a GA and plan, which is being prepared.

Hi Norberto Thank you my friend for your kind offer . The delay on this project is one on priorities. I am presently working on a 1:72 HMS Daring , which will in due course become a serialized built log for my column in the "Model Boats" magazine . It's not a scratch build therefore I really can't post it up on this board .The real description would be semi Kit as much of the model is provided for. This should be completed in the near future then I'll be free to concentrate on Steregushchiy .BUT just a glimpse of this large and imposing model under construction ,although the appearance and design does not appeal to every one
