Newbie question about deck blue

I am about to build my first ship model after building planes for the last few years. Anyway, I am doing the Trumpeter 1/700 USS The Sullivans. It calls for deck blue but the LHS doesn't carry Gunze Sangyo paints. What is a close out of the bottle paint I can use for this. Around these here parts we have humbrol, tamiya, model master and polyscale railroad colours. Thanks very much.

I think MM has a Deck blue color

They don't stock the MM Marine colours. Just the MM military enamels. Looking at chips on my less than perfect monitor, it looks to me as though deck blue is more grey than blue. Is that correct? Thanks.

Yes, it is a very dark grey with a tinge of dark blue mixed in.

Have you tried White Ensign? I think they do it.

your probably looking for Deck Blue20B. Model Master makes it, and it is stock number 4243.Call around to your local model shops and see if they stock it. They probably don't though, so you'll have to either have them order it for you, or you can order it yourself through different websites, such as hobbylinc.com or others like them.
You may have already come across it, but another awesome website for color reference is shipcamouflage.com.
