Hull Red for ships................
Is Tamiya XF-9 correct for US, UK or German ships of WW2?
I have done a search around here, and have found some people mix red XF-7 with XF-9, but this appears to be for German only??
I am currently on a Trumpeter Dreadnought but will be doing 1/200 Arizona and Bismarck next...

Re: Newbie Hull Red question...
Hi Nigel
By pure chance, while intending to purchase Tamiya Hull Red (for another purpose), by mistake, without my specs!!, i purchased
the Tamiya "Dull Red" (TS-33).in a rattle can. When i returned home i discovered it was a very good colour for antifoul.
Otherwise use Red and mix a few small drops of brown. There have been many more suggestions in other threads.
Hope this helps.
