Hello all, I wonder if you can help. I am trying to finish off a model of HMS Eskimo using the WEM etch set, and I am struggling to find out what colours the semaphores were. I have googled and found that illustrations show hand held flags in yellow and red, but the semaphores that WEM supply are apparently on posts on the side of the bridge. A splash of colour would be nice, but I have them grey at the moment.
The colour shots I have seen of WW2 vessels do not show up these devices with clarity.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
All the best, Ray

Black and White it is. Here is a pic I composited some time ago:www.royal-signals.org.uk wrote:Most signal arms were either white or black, or a mixture of both

EJFoeth, many thanks for that, I will try and get a representation painted on them later.
