On my new 700th Tamiya Missouri should I assemble most of the superstructure and decks, then paint camo, then add turrets, AA, and small parts?

I would dry fit the major components on first, then use a pencil to mark out the pattern. Then I would mask (or not, if you are using a brush and have steady hands) and paint the components seperate from one another.
