Tools to make waterline ships

Post by Rangercva61tgp »

I just need some help trying to find which tool to cut the hull off an the italeri uss Saratoga to make it waterline. Should I use a dremel, saw, or a knife?

If it's 1/350 I would use a Dremel with a 1" circular saw. Your cut line might waver a bit so give yourself plenty of error space. If it's 1/700 / 1/720 use a Xacto saw. It's slower but less chance of errors. A cutting error in small scale might ruin the model. In either scale draw or scribe your cut line. :wave_1:
