1/200 Trumpeter Sovremenny ??????????? 430 Finished

Hi!

It's been a nice 6 week project and it has come to the finish line! All in all it was a nice project even though the kit
really isn't that nice fit and accuracy wise.

I guess the only thing I wasn't that happy with it was the seam between the hull and the superstructure
as I didn't have the nerve to start sanding it in risk of destroying the model so there's some
things I need to live with.

I have seen PRC DDG-136 on the high seas in person at significantly less than 500 yards. You have really captured an excellent level of realism with your model. It's almost scary. Great, great, great job.

I'm really really happy how it turned out! After 10 years of not participating in competitions I might have to attend to the next years Model Expo here in Finland.

My next ship is already in order aswell!

Great rigging and flags! So difficult to do but they add so much life to a ship build! Your weathering is excellent as well, very skilled. Realistic weathering is an art form, another skill you have mastered. Congratulations!

Stunning build. Almost looks real! I do find these late Sovet ships quite attractive - you've certainly done this one more than justice!

Your weathering and shading is always exemplary. Very nice.

Outstanding workmanship. The railings, the antenna arrays, the ladders, all the PE work is truly outstanding. As stated the weathering is nicely done. Not overly done, but just enough to show some normal wear. I like these late model Soviet ships as well. They packed a lot of weapons in a small platform, you have captured it all very nicely.
