If you are going to model British ships in this period this is an essential book for your reference collection. The book features glossy photos of ship models along with descriptions of the model and additional information. All of the photos are available on the web but a typical National Maritime Museum (NMM) photo from the web is 225 KB. The photos in the book are printed very clearly, so that with a high resolution scan you can then view and see detail that is not visible in the web based photo. What more could you ask for?

The models mostly come from the collection of the NMM with others from the Imperial War Museum, Glasgow Transport Museum, Australian War Memorial, Jim Baumann, John R Haynes, Rob Kernaghan, Ian Johnston and others. The NMM models have their SLR# to make it easy to go to the source at NMM.
