Tungsten thread for rigging?

Hi. Has anybody had any experience with tungsten thread for rigging modern (WW II era) warships? I went to the J. Stockard Fly Fishing online store today to order some caenis thread to try out and ran across that. Since it was not terribly expensive ($4.85 a spool) I decided to give it a try and ordered some. Also ordered a couple of spools of caenis thread (black and white, figured I could paint the white whatever color I need) as well as a couple of spools of 8/0 UNI-thread. Up until now I've been doing all of my rigging with stretched sprue, but would like to try other options and I've read a lot about the caenis thread.
I'd like to know if anyone has tried the tungsten thread and if so, what kind of results did you get?

Well that's a new one on me... When I first read "tungsten thread" I thought you'd be talking about using filaments from an incandescent light bulb, but when I went to the J. Stockard site they say the stuff is actually wire. So I'd be curious to see how workable it is, what to use to affix it. I imagine CA would do the trick. Caenis I've bought from Stockard, have had good experience with it. This stuff looks intriguing, and as you say, for under $5 not a big risk there, think I'll get some.

Thank you for your responses. I'm planning on trying the tungsten wire out out on my current project, Dragon's 1/350 U.S.S. Laffey, once she is ready to be rigged. Though I'm hardly the gifted modeler that many on the board are, I'll still attempt to post a decent evaluation of this as a rigging material after I have had a chance to work with it.
