Got CSS Tallahassee?

Post by Rusty White »

Can anyone recommend a company, book, or individual who has a set of plans for the CSS Tallahassee? There is only one known photo of the vessel and it's quite unclear.

I am in the process of redoing the master patterns for a 1/192 scale CSS Tallahassee model kit and any help I can get would be much appreciated. I seem to recall hearing about a guy who did a really good set of drawings for her, but for the life of me I can't recall who it was. I tried the usual sources (Maryland Silver, etc) with no luck. I'll keep looking, but if you guys can point me to someone, somewhere, it would save me a lot of time.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps The Confederate Steam Navy by Donald L. Canney to be released this month could contain something. Usually Canney adds a lot of plans.

A fella emailed me a nice set of drawings today. Thank you for your concern and advice.
