USN Pre-WWI Gray

Post by SeanF »

I'm sure the answer is not far off, and I'll be kicking myself when I find out where it was, but I've looked through the whole list of threads in the Camouflage & Coatings directory and found nothing.

I'm planning on building some of these Samek early U.S. Navy dreadnoughts, and I'd like to know what kind of gray to use. Not the Slate/"War Color" gray, but the peacetime gray that the South Carolina, Delaware, etc. classes were commissioned in, and which was painted over the white and buff of the pre-dreads (about the same time they received their cage masts).

Thanks for the help.
