Best book to read about the history of torpedoes?

I did a Google search about torpedoes and there was a good number of books on the history of them. I was wondering which would be the best ones to start with?

I think there's enough various information on Google for free that you don't have to buy a book! Google's always my #1 reference library - usually good; sometimes not so much.

This book has a chapter on torpedo development before and during World War II. It is pretty critical of the failures in testing torpedoes before the outbreak of the war that led to very low reliability in the early years of the war. It tells about the efforts to improve the torpedoes. It also describes procurement, production and supply problems.
