Need to match spray can color to bottle color-

Post by Gerarddm »

Found a pefect Model Master enamel, FS30117 Military Brown, to do the wood deck on my 1/700 Yamato. Problem is, hand painting made it look too splotchy. I can't seem to find a spray can color to match, any suggestions? The primer is light gray enamel.

BTW, would hitting the deck with some dullcoat clear even out the splotchiness ( is that a word)?

Or any suggestions for re-stripping, and a different hand-painting technique for an even finish?

Thanks-

Try it on scrap, but the modelmaster afrika brown spray might satisfy you. I think its normal stock at hobby snobby so anyone should have it
