HMS Hood 1:200 scale Funnels

Have been building the HMS Hood 1:200 scale model.
It requires that you construct some parts with PE.
I almost thought the project was over. I do not like PE.
It is good for stair/ ladders and some small items but I never know what glue to use.
I am noe trying Gorilla super glue.

The Funnels on the HMS Hood have a structure on the top of the
funnels that is PE and looks like two spiders in a fight.
I tried but just could not understand or do it.
so I came up with my own plan.
I am using .020 plastic rods. It is easy to do because it is plastic on plastic.
