Help with a potential CA problem

Hi Guys!
I've been working on converting a Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher to a late war version and have noticed something peculiar. As the CA cures, a very thin white film (it's dry not damp or gummy) forms on the plastic around the base of the joint. What the heck is this? I'm going to shoot WEM Colourcoat paints but am afraid I might get an adverse reaction (bubbling/cracking etc.). Unfortunately, many of the joints are in tight enough spaces that it would be very difficult to get some kind of swab on it or I'd be afraid of damaging some of the delicate parts.

Does anyone have any thoughts or is this "normal" and it's OK to shoot?

What you're seeing is dried CA vapors. This is a major problem for clear surfaces but I've never had a problem using enamal paints over it in any other application so you should be ok.
