Ok, I wound up losing the email, don't ask, I am such a technotard, that I lost your inbox email not once but twice, and somehow managed to delete it and send it at the same time....
Ok the question was, does the dish soap, and artist chalk slurry attack acrylic paints:
I never have had that issue. I wait 24 hours after my last acrylic coat before i weather.
With that said, keep in mind, if you use flat paints (especially if you cut enamels with lighter fluid for a dead flat finish) you will stain your paint job. It WILL NOT remove from the paint.
So to be extra safe, give your model a coat of gloss before you weather it. Afterwards you can shoot a dull cote on the paint to flatten it out.
Now MY question. Has anyone tried cutting dullcote by testors with lighterfluid? It completely flattens any enamel paint, but I wonder if the dullcote will not mix well with lighter fluid, because it is lacquer based?
