Calling all Mega-Yachts Fans

Post by Max Braun »

Hi, Funs! :wave_1:
I guess it's a high time to launch a new Topic.
Giga and Mega-Yachts are stunningly beautiful and unique ships and they worth to be represented on this Forum.
For beginning I'd like to say thank you to Jim Baumann for his gallery of Peter Wilson models.
Wonderful models indeed, wonderful materials. Congratulations to Peter Wilson, great job! :thumbs_up_1:
But my keen eye immediately noticed one mistake. That mega-yacht model named as "Al Said" actually represents another mega-yacht namely "Sunflower" built in 2007 by Lurssen.
On attached photos you can see the difference.
Does Peter Wilson made a mistake or did it on purpose?
Looking forward for any comments :heh:

Revell of Germany is coming out with a 1/72nd "Sunseeker Predator 108" kit.

Could be fun!

I have seen the "SUNSEEKER" by REVELL o.o.b.(but not assembled.)As a former NAVY/MERCHANTER whochose to liveaboard an old C.G. vessel I bought I saw room for a lot of improvement.I guess I am just a traditionalist, but, I like my YACHTS to look like BOATS and not some kind of europeanized watermelon seed that floats and holds people! My old conversion would weather way higher seas than that vessel could ever hope to!!!The model is VERY GOOD though.REVELL could get my interest if they did a larger scale version of the old TRI-CABIN CHRIS-CRAFT or something like that. The only way to get, say a CHRIS Constellation is to get the LINDBERG version if you can find one.I would like to see an OWENS 46' motoryacht for instance.I liked the model but not the style! commodore4
