easy rigging

I have always had issues using stretched sprue and fishing line when I try to rig my 1/350 and 1/700 ships until I tried a very unlikely source: a pair of my wife's nylons!

Using a pair of black or tan nylons depending on the effect I am looking for, I carefully pull a single strand of the nylon thread from the nylons. I cut a piece longer than I need and attach one end to the model with regular krazy glue for an instant hold. Then I simply stretch the nylon thread to the next attachment point and glue it in place. The nylon holds very taught with absolutely no sagging, then I just trim off the excess thread. The best part of this technique is that the nylons are very stretchy and springy, so if I bump into the rigging, it has plenty of "play" and bounces right back to being tight.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to give this a try. Rigging has just about sent me to the nut house a few times so any method being easier than mono and sprue is worth a shot.

I will be sure to let my wife know who gave me the idea and why she is out of stockings...

I have tried and tried to use this site, but I am finding it difficult to say the very lease, fingers crossed I have the right person or otherwise this will make little or no sense to you. Rigging, it seems really good, but what glue did you use ?
