harbour

Although obviously unrealistic, I have now managed to place, dry-dock, harbour wall, and also a few mountains on a shelf 28" x 4" containing all 17 Heller kriegsmarine, I am just waiting for the sea to dry, I've used artex the stuff you normally use to hide cracks in walls, the complete diorama has been totally made from scrap pieces of wood, and odd 1-350/1-400 parts from disused kits - for myself, I have never scratch built anything in my life, the problem I faced was having 17 sea going craft that were small compared to the shelf in the cabinet, so as unrealistic as it would be to have so many ships so close together, depending on the photo angle, it doesn't look to bad, I can't wait until it dries and I can get to work cleaning the whole thing up - Why have I wrote this ? Because I never believed that anyone could scratch build and special skills were required, for nothing apart from time, I had great fun in this build, and I guess this is what model building is really all about.

I have been preaching that message for over 8 years on this site, a few have taken up the challenge. :heh: :heh: :heh: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:
Simple but effective.
