Grimsby class sloop: progress shot!

Post by MichelB »

Here's my HMS Grimsby, hot off the casters at Finewaterline. Guns etc. are from a E-class, PE from a WEM W/V-class set, and assorted leftovers tossed in. Not sure about the exact accuracy of what I'm stacking on, but she looks nice.

That looks great, have you decided on HMS Grimsby then? I've ordered mine today, currently thinking HMS Wellington

Looks like you will be first past the post with a very nice build. There is such a variety of fits for a small class of ships that I look forward to a whole gallery of sloops.

Here's the last update of this little kit that could: added last details, such as the White Ensign, some deck clutter (not too much, as you can see) and extra davits, although I couldn't find a boat to go with them. As you can see I added some clutter to the bridge as well, absolutely without any reference and mostly of derelict 20mm AA barrels cut off and glued down.
It's been a fun inspiring build in what otherwise is a somewhat lackluster period for MichelB Shipyards Ltd.
