Source for Hasegawa spare parts?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has successfully obtained spare parts in the US for Hasegawa kits? I have an old-stock 1/72 F-14A Tomcat "Pacific Fleet" kit (not a ship, I realize) that was missing the clear part sprues from the sealed parts bags, and it's not possible to take it back to the retailer. I tried contacting Douglas Models, supposedly the current US distributor, but they weren't able to help. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm not seeing any currently, but there are some sellers on ebay who sell individual trees from kits. You might keep a watch going for something like "1/72 hasegawa F-14 tree."

You could post your part need on Hyperscale's Plane Trading page. They're a pretty generous bunch when it comes to helping one another out. My own attempt to contact Hasegawa some years back was less than fruitful.

Re: Source for Hasegawa spare parts?
I've sent parts overseas from Japan in the past for modelers who contacted me to obtain spares from Tamiya, Hasegawa, Fujimi, Aoshima, Fine Molds, and Pitroad. I don't know whether that is still cost-effective, but by all means, if no other options are available, let me know and I will be happy to help, only reimbursement costs necessary.
